They came in to check on prior installer setup. Problem showing a cap on solar from other company that is no longer around.
They looked at everything, showed where the prior installer had wired different than enphase specs and saw the reason for the cap.
They are going to look at specs , images, and drawing to see if there is a way to remove the cap from the solar array and keep battery backup.
Will be waiting for follow-up on the new solution.
Learned at this time they would be available for possible generator install which is normally for their customers that has solar installs.

We have been using Midwest Solar Solutions to maintain and repair our solar panels since moving into a home with existing panels 2 years ago. When we moved in they quickly came out and got our new account set up to track production. When we needed repairs done this summer they took care of everything-from obtaining the necessary permits from the city to coordinating with Ameren for the shut off. The repair was done quickly and they kept me updated the entire day. We also had an optimizer stop working and they took care of reaching out to the manufacturer to get the parts covered under warranty and quickly came out to repair it. I would definitely recommend using this company.

My original solar installer went bankrupt and so was orphaned without workmanship warranty. Midwest Solar stepped in and has worked with the manufacture and has been able to get at least parts for free under the original warranty. I of course have to pay for labor but Midwest’s prices are on point. I’ve had to have them out 5 or 6 times due to previous installers faulty work. They have resolved all the problems and have transferred the ability from original installer to themselves so they can monitor my system remotely. They have been able to get on site within a week or two from the time I called in each time. They are a small business made up of local folks. They are building their company slowly the right way. They have one salesman and several techs. Not a million sales people and 5 tech teams to cover the nation. These guys are here for the longhaul. They are good, family oriented, clean, non-swearing, descent people who you feel comfortable letting into your home.

Zach and Josiah came to the house and promptly identified the problem. They took a short pause to get the required parts and returned in just a few minutes. They got the system up and running again in just a couple short hours. Amazing response time and completed the job amazingly!
